Weddings - The Tithe Barn

The Tithe Barn is an exquisite and quintessentially English Barn dating back to the 14th Century, in an amazing setting within the tranquil village of Symondsbury in West Dorset.

The Barn has recently undergone sympathetic and artistic renovations to enhance its natural beauty, whilst creating an elegant and charming wedding venue. The venue’s thoughtful restoration includes a galleried area, floor to ceiling glass entrances, under floor heating and stone floors, exposed oak beams and a wooden dance floor.

We believe that every wedding is unique, and with the flexibility offered by the Tithe Barn, you’ll be free to conjure up any imaginative theme or atmosphere that suits your personality and preferences by dressing the venue entirely as you wish. So whether you are planning an intimate gathering or something more lavish, its flexible style can be adapted to suit.

We are licensed to conduct Civil Ceremonies and Partnerships. The Barn has the capacity to seat up to 150 guests cloakroom facilities with disabled access and a catering area for our in-house team, headed up by Nick Holt, please see details for menu choices.

The idyllic courtyard and gardens create a peaceful and serene atmosphere, making for a romantic and elegant area for drinks and canapés whilst gathering to celebrate your special day. The wooded area is the perfect spot to take photographs of your magical ceremony, forging memories that will stay with you for a lifetime.

The outstanding beauty of the surrounding rural countryside will undoubtedly captivate your wedding guests.

Dear Amy, Emma-Jayne and The Symondsbury Estate Team,

Thank you for all your help and support for our special day and making it all run smoothly – the barn looked beautiful. We had the BEST day ever. Thank you” Charlotte and Steve Mearing May 2016

This weekend my wife and I had the most amazing weekend holding our wedding reception at Symondsbury, Tithe Barn. We honestly can’t thank you guys enough for making the day stress free and just absolutely perfect in every way.

Amy has been there every step of the way, making sure everything was running to plan, arriving on time and chasing suppliers on our behalf. Some wedding organisers can be in your face, but Amy was brilliant, staying calm, which in turn helped us stay calm.

The bar staff were brilliant throughout the evening, quick and efficient, with a minimal queue being present meaning our guests could dance the night away with a drink in hand.

I couldn’t recommend this venue enough. It is truly stunning and a perfect little pocket of Dorset hidden away in Symondsbury. With the gorgeous scenery visible from the venues gardens an the rustic, yet brilliantly, renovated barn inside.

Thank you again for everything. We can’t wait to visit the Tithe Barn again, however this time as guests.

We just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU for everything you did for us on our big day – Wednesday 17th August.

You and your team were amazing and it was just the most perfect day, everything flowed seamlessly and you thought of everything. Thanks for packing up our stuff the day after the wedding and making it easy for Barry’s parents and relatives!

Thanks also for being so flexible on everything – pizza man, Ben using the kitchen the day before and even when were planning on having Alpacas!

Thanks again and the best of luck for the remaining weddings in 2016! Barry & Hayley.
