Weddings - Crepe Farmhouse
Crepe Farmhouse offers 5 star accommodation for 17 people. Seating areas with stunning views offer the perfect backdrop for drinks and photographs where guests can wander and relax at their leisure. There are two lawned areas perfect for a marquee.
The main drive leading up to the venue provides exclusive access to your wedding reception with plenty of parking for all your guests.
With a range of beautiful cottages on the Estate we can accommodate up to 65 guests. For those trying to keep the costs down we also have a field available for camping.
Whether you are planning a summer or winter wedding, a candelit dinner or a banquet meal our in-house team are there to ensure you have the most magical day.
Please note: A £500 security deposit is required. This is payable with the balance, and provided there is no damage – it will be refunded after the event.
Super Peak Season: August, Christmas and New Year – £7000.00
High Season: May, June, July and September – £5100.00
Mid Season: March, April, October and December – £4500.00
(+ £500 for bank holidays)
Low Season: January, February and November – £4200.00
The hire price includes:
7 nights accommodation for up to 17 people at Crepe Farmhouse and full use of all of its facilities.
A facility fee for up to 120 people who will be on site at the wedding.
An additional £350 charge will apply for a Civil Ceremony. This includes an estate representative for the duration of the ceremony and wooden folding chairs for your guests. We are also more than happy to play music for any part of your ceremony using our PA system.
Marquees must be hired through our recommended supplier. If you choose not to use this supplier there will be a £300 charge.

**A £500 refundable deposit is required with your final balance against damage to the property or violation of the noise curfew. The security deposit will be refunded after your departure and full inspection of the property. In the unlikely event of any damage being done or the property being left in an unsatisfactory condition, the owners reserve the right to impose a reasonable charge to return the property to the condition it was in at the beginning of the let**
A booking is deemed to be provisional until the required deposit is received. Symondsbury Estate will accept a provisional booking but should another client subsequently wish to book and confirm the same venue on the same date before the deposit is received no guarantee about availability can be made.
Deposit and payment
A booking is not confirmed until the appropriate deposit has been received. A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the house rental is required to secure the booking and is part of the confirmation. A security deposit of £500 is also required to cover any accidental damage and will be refunded in full after inspection. The total balance will be payable 60 days prior to the event.
There will be an additional charge of £350 for having your wedding ceremony at Crepe Farmhouse. This is to be paid with your balance.
There will be a facility charge of £12 per head, excluding guests staying at the Farmhouse.
Fees are determined on the basis of the use of the venue or its grounds for a set period of time. Symondsbury Estate reserves the right to make an additional charge should there be any variation of an agreed time. Such variations will be agreed with the client at the time of booking.
Music & Entertainment
Due to Crepe Farmhouse being near the centre of the village we do ask that you are mindful of the residents and that all music and/or entertainment for the event should cease by 11.30pm.
We prefer you to use one of our chosen marquee hire companies that are familiar with the facilities at Crepe Farmhouse.
You must provide additional toilet facilities to accommodate the number of guests you will have in attendance.
Chinese lanterns are not permitted due to the location of Crepe Farmhouse and the surrounding thatched buildings. Please notify your guests that we DO allow confetti within the grounds (this can include real flower confetti, table confetti, glitter and other such small decorations)
We have our own in house caterers. There will be an additional charge of £300 if you wish to use an alternative outside caterer, please ensure your chosen caterer removes all rubbish and bottles from the premises and has visited the farmhouse and met with our wedding co-ordinator before the wedding.
The swimming pool is to be kept locked for the duration of the wedding due to insurance and health and safety regulations.
Cancellation of Booking
In the event of cancellation you will be liable for the full amount. We will do our best to re-let the property. If we are successful we will refund you the deposit and/or balance paid less a £50 administrative fee. Please note that by confirming a booking you are entering into a contractual agreement and are liable for the full cost of the holiday.
Any damage to the venue, its contents or its grounds that result from misuse or negligence by the client or guests will be deemed the responsibility of the client/s and will be charged for by Symondsbury Estate on behalf of the venue owner.
The maximum capacity for weddings at Crepe Farmhouse is 125 people.
In the unlikely event of a function being cancelled for any reason beyond Symondsbury Estate’s control, Symondsbury Estate will endeavor to locate a similar alternative venue. Should this not be possible any deposit paid will be refunded in full.
Payment can be made via debit/credit card, cheque or bank transfer.
Acceptance of Conditions
The payment of the initial deposit is deemed as acceptance of the above conditions.
